Costs

When you book a trip with Dial A Ride Wimborne the cost is calculated using the following formula.

The mileage from Allendale House to the pick up point to the destination is worked out. This is doubled if it is a return journey.

The minimum charge is £7.00 for a return trip.

You pay the driver the amount, as agreed at the time of booking.

Dial A Ride Wimborne is a not for profit organisation. The money we raise from clients goes towards servicing and maintaining our three vehicles, vehicle insurance, fuel, rent for the office we use, telephone costs, computer consumables and stationery for the office. A proportion of this is also put towards a fund for replacing our vehicles every four to five years.

Some clients give us donations over and above the agreed amount for their journey. Donations, however small, are always gratefully received.
