Costs

When you book a trip with DIAL A RIDE the cost is worked out using a set formula.

The mileage from Allendale House to the pick up point to the destination is worked out. This is doubled if it is a return journey.

The minimum charge is £6.00.

You pay the driver, usually when they drop you back at home, the amount agreed at the time of booking.

DIAL A RIDE is a not for profit organisation. The money we raise from clients goes towards servicing and maintaining our three vehicles, vehicle insurance, fuel, rent for the office we use, telephone costs, computer consumables and stationery for the office.

Some clients give us donations over and above the agreed amount for their journey. Donations, however small, are always gratefully received.
